What Veyra: Grovefall Is
Veyra: Grovefall is a single-player tower-defense game. You grow living towers around an ancient tree, the Heartbloom, and hold back the crystalline Hollow across a twelve-stage campaign. It has no accounts, no sign-up, no messaging, no advertising and no purchases.
Everything you see and hear is generated by the app on your device as you play. There are no bundled pictures and no bundled sound files: every texture is drawn at runtime and every note is synthesised at runtime.
What Igney Collects
Igney receives no personal data through Veyra: Grovefall. The app contains no networking code of any kind — no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no telemetry, and no server belonging to Igney that it could talk to. There is no Igney account to create and nothing for you to log in to.
Igney does receive personal data in one situation, and it has nothing to do with the app itself: if you write to us. See Support Correspondence below.
The game requires no network connection to play. It uses one Apple service — Game Center — which is described in its own section. Data that service handles goes to Apple under your own Apple Account, not to Igney.
What the app does not contain
- No analytics SDKs.
- No advertising SDKs or ad networks.
- No crash-reporting or monitoring services.
- No third-party frameworks of any kind.
Veyra: Grovefall is built only from Apple's own system frameworks: SwiftUI, UIKit, SpriteKit, AVFoundation, GameKit, Combine, QuartzCore and Foundation.
The app requests no permissions. It does not ask for — and cannot access — your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendars, health data or motion data. It sends no notifications. It plays sound and can vibrate the device, and neither of those needs your permission or reads anything back.
What Is Stored on Your Device
Veyra: Grovefall saves your progress in a single file on your device:
- Which stages you have cleared, on which difficulty, and your best score and medal for each.
- Your Memory Petals and which Memory Grove nodes you have cultivated.
- Your best Endless Vigil wave and score, your Daily Trial bests and your current Daily streak.
- Lifetime tallies: battles played, victories, enemies defeated, waves cleared, bosses felled and elemental reactions triggered.
- Which enemies you have catalogued in the Field Guide and which reactions you have witnessed.
- Your audio, haptics and accessibility settings, and your preferred difficulty.
That is the whole list. There is no profile, no identifier, no name and no contact detail among it, it never leaves your device, and none of it is sent to Igney.
The game does not sync between your devices. Your progress lives on the one device you played it on.
Game Center
Veyra: Grovefall uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards and achievements.
Game Center sign-in is attempted automatically when the game starts — that is, on every launch. There is no in-app switch for this in version 1.0. The app never puts a Game Center sign-in sheet in front of you and never waits for one: if you are signed in at the system level it proceeds, and if you are not, the game simply carries on. Your ways to prevent it are at the system level: sign out of, or restrict, Game Center in iOS Settings.
When you are signed in, the app asks Game Center to record:
- Your total Hollow defeated, your campaign finale score on Standard and on Master Gardener, and your best Endless Vigil wave count — submitted to four leaderboards.
- Your progress toward five achievements — your first victory, a flawless battle, thirty elemental reactions in one battle, felling a boss, and completing the campaign.
This information goes to Apple, identified by your Game Center player identity. Igney runs no server, and Veyra: Grovefall transmits nothing to Igney.
A note on version 1.0. These four leaderboards and five achievements exist in the app's code but have not yet been registered in App Store Connect. Until they are, Game Center accepts nothing from the game and no score or achievement is recorded anywhere. Sign-in is still attempted on launch, so what leaves your device is the same either way — this note is about what Apple then does with it, not about what the app sends.
If those leaderboards are registered in a later version, they will be public, which means other Game Center players would be able to see your Game Center alias listed next to your score. The alias is the one you chose in Game Center, which may or may not be your real name — that choice is yours and you can change it in iOS Settings.
Declining Game Center costs you the leaderboards and achievements. It does not affect the game in any other way: every stage, mode and feature stays fully playable, and all of your progress is still recorded on your device.
Game Center is Apple's service and Apple's processing. It is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Sharing
Igney does not sell, rent or trade personal data, and does not share it with anyone for their own purposes. There is no advertising network, no data broker, no partner and no analytics provider involved in Veyra: Grovefall, because the app has no mechanism to send data to any of them.
The one third party that handles data on our behalf is the provider hosting our support mailbox, described under Support Correspondence.
Veyra: Grovefall has no share sheet, no export and no link generator, so there is also no way for the app to pass your data to another app or person on your behalf.
The only third party otherwise in the picture is Apple's Game Center, described above, which acts under your Apple Account rather than for Igney.
Support Correspondence
If you email Igney — at privacy@igney.com or any other Igney address — we receive your email address, whatever you write in the message, and anything you choose to attach. People often include a device model or an iOS version when reporting a bug.
We use it for one purpose: reading your message and replying to it.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us about our apps (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Where your message concerns something we owe you under an agreement, the basis is performance of that contract, Article 6(1)(b).
We do not add your address to a mailing list and we do not use it for marketing. Your message is stored by the email provider that hosts our mailbox, which handles it on our behalf and for no purpose of its own. We pass it to no one else.
Retention: support correspondence is kept while it remains useful for handling your enquiry and any related follow-up, and is deleted when it is no longer needed for that purpose. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time by writing to privacy@igney.com.
Keeping and Deleting Data
On your device. Deleting Veyra: Grovefall removes the app's save file from that device. There is nothing else to clear, and nothing is left behind in a keychain or a shared container. You can also wipe your progress without deleting the app: Settings → Reset Progress inside the game clears stages, scores and petals.
In Game Center. If leaderboards and achievements are registered in a later version, any entries would live with your Game Center account. Managing or resetting those is done through Game Center and Apple, not through this game.
Support email. Covered in the section above.
Security
Veyra: Grovefall relies on the protections built into iOS and on Apple's services for Game Center. The data the app keeps is held in your device's own storage under those protections.
Children
Veyra: Grovefall collects no personal data from anyone through the app, including children. It has no accounts, no messaging, no user-generated content, no advertising and no purchases.
Game Center has its own age requirements and can be restricted through Screen Time in iOS Settings. Parents who would rather their child's alias not appear on a leaderboard can turn Game Center off there.
If you believe a child has sent personal data to Igney by writing to us, email privacy@igney.com and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If Veyra: Grovefall changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy is updated before or alongside that release, and the effective date at the top changes with it. The version this policy was audited against is stated at the top of the page, so you can tell whether it describes the build you have.

Legal basis for processing
Igney receives no personal data through Veyra: Grovefall, so there is no app processing by us that requires a legal basis. The gameplay data described above is held on your own device and is under your control, and the data handled by Game Center is processed by Apple under your Apple Account.
The processing Igney does carry out is support correspondence, on the basis of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) — or performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) where that applies. See the Support Correspondence section.
Retention
Gameplay data stays on your device for as long as you keep it; Igney holds no copy. Support correspondence is kept while it remains useful for handling your enquiry and any related follow-up, and is deleted when it is no longer needed for that purpose.
International transfers
Veyra: Grovefall itself transmits nothing to Igney, so the app creates no transfer.
Support correspondence sent to privacy@igney.com is handled by Simply.com A/S, Denmark, inside the EEA, under a signed Article 28 data processing agreement. No third-country transfer arises from contacting Igney, so there is no Article 13(1)(f) safeguard to name.
Data handled by Apple through Game Center is covered by your own relationship with Apple, not by an Igney transfer.
Automated decision-making
Igney carries out no automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. Veyra: Grovefall scores your battles, awards medals and unlocks achievements on your device, but that is a game keeping score: no decision about you follows from it, and Igney makes no automated decision about you at all.
Your rights
You have the following rights. Because Igney holds no personal data about you from the app, most of them resolve quickly — but they are real rights and we will answer any request.
- Access — you may ask what personal data we hold about you. Through Veyra: Grovefall, none. If you have written to us, that correspondence.
- Rectification — you may ask us to correct inaccurate data. This applies to support correspondence; the app holds nothing for us to correct.
- Erasure — you may ask us to delete your data. The data on your device is deleted by deleting the app, or from Settings → Reset Progress inside the game; support correspondence is deleted on request.
- Restriction — you may ask us to limit how we use your data while a question about it is resolved.
- Portability — you may ask for data you provided us in a portable form. Note that Veyra: Grovefall has no export feature; this right concerns data Igney holds, which is support correspondence.
- Objection — because we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for support correspondence, you have the right under Article 21 to object to that processing. In practice that means asking us to stop handling and to delete your correspondence, which we will do unless we are required to keep it.
- Withdrawal of consent — where we ever rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Veyra: Grovefall does not currently rely on consent for anything.
Send any request to privacy@igney.com.
